Royal Caribbean Cruises just hit a construction milestone with its sleek new Terminal A at PortMiami. Royal Caribbean and building contractor Suffolk celebrated in January with a party to commemorate reaching the highest construction point of the $247 million state-of-the-art terminal.
The cruise terminal is slated to open in October, and will become home to massive cruise ships Allure of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas (the latter of which is expected to become the largest cruise ship in the world when it begins sailing in November.)
Architecture firm BroadwayMalyan designed the terminal as a landmark building for the port, dubbing it the ‘Crown of Miami’ because of its shape.
